Paris with the Cousins

In February, my sister Laura and her kids joined us for their winter break. First on the agenda was Carnival. They had visited 3 years ago during this time, so they were well aware of the festive holiday and even brought costumes with them. They were such troopers flying overnight from Boston and almost immediately changing into costumes and heading to a parade. It was a fun day though......

After Carnival we were ready for some sight-seeing, so Laur and I took the kids to Paris. Bella had specially requested a visit to Paris, and we were more than happy to oblige (plus it provided the perfect inspiration for her 10th birthday party!). This was the view from our apartment, I don't think she was disappointed.

Time for bed, better rest up for tomorrow!

For the next few days we walked, pushed, dragged, and carried the kids all over Paris taking in the beautiful sites. Don't worry, we also stopped frequently to refuel with some Parisian delicacies.
Bria all ready to take Paris by storm.

Barely made it down our street the first day and the kids spotted a playground, a perfect first stop.

But then we made it to Notre Dame...

And the love lock bridge...

And the Louvre...

Jacob wasn't quite tall enough. Maybe next time.

The Eiffel Tower...

Sacré-Cœur...

Luxembourg Palace and Gardens...

And let's not forget all the eating...

Pretty sure the meringues were bigger than Bella's head.

"Mommy, I want a poissant!"

And the trip was full of fun and silliness...

Just getting in a quick family taxi nap.

All in all it was a fantastic week. The kids loved their time with their cousins (and haven't stopped talking about them) and I always love sister time. We are so grateful to the Fays for making another trip out to see us. We won't forget this visit....
